EM&I: Local Staff 'Key' to Success of Overseas Bases
Employing a local staff majority as soon as possible has been “key” to the success of EM&I Group’s overseas bases, the international asset integrity specialist revealed Monday.
“Virtually all” staff at EM&I Group’s overseas centers - comprising America, Angola, Australia, Brazil, China, Canada, Nigeria and Singapore - are made up of country locals, an EM&I spokesperson told Rigzone.
In 2018, the company is celebrating a total of 50 years of anniversaries across its international bases, with centers in Australia and Canada seeing their 18th and 17th years of operation, respectively.
"This philosophy and approach to setting up overseas bases has served us well and satisfies the requirements of the clients and countries in which we operate,” Danny Constantinis, EM&I executive chairman and founder, said.
“It also makes economic sense as well,” he added.
Constantinis became EM&I Group’s executive chairman earlier this year, following the appointment of Pat Lawless as the company’s chief executive officer.
EM&I Group’s services focus on pressure systems, structures, hazardous area equipment and lifting equipment.
