DNS Launches Decommissioning Awards
Decom North Sea (DNS), a membership organization for the oil and gas decommissioning sector, announced Thursday that it has launched ‘the first industry awards to be dedicated to decommissioning excellence’.
The Decom North Sea Awards will recognize efforts of DNS members to innovate and collaborate within the sector, according to a DNS statement. Entries for the awards open today, with the winners announced at a ceremony in Aberdeen on May 22.
“As the only membership organization dedicated to decommissioning, Decom North Sea is fully aware of the excellent work being undertaken within the sector,” DNS interim chief executive, Tom Leeson, said in a DNS statement.
“I encourage members to consider submitting an entry into the awards as the benefits to finalists and winners are twofold; in addition to industry level recognition for their hard work, it also provides an excellent opportunity to share their stories and lessons learned,” he added.
