Cudd Energy Services Closes Plant, Cuts Jobs
The oilfield services provider is cutting more than 100 jobs in San Antonio.

Oilfield services company Cudd Energy Services, Inc. is closing its San Antonio plant, according to a letter sent to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) dated Oct. 23.

Due to the closing of the facility, located at 5251 Tacco Drive, 117 employees will be laid off.

The plant closing and job separations will begin Dec. 22, 2019 and end no later than Jan. 5, 2020, according to the letter.

Cudd Energy Services was founded in 1977 and has numerous locations throughout North America and some international markets. According to its website, the company has more than 2,000 employees in more than 60 markets.

Its parent company is RPC, Inc., which has its headquarters in Atlanta, Ga.
