Norse Energy Corp. (NEC) said that the Agencia Nacional de Petroleo, Gas Natural e Biocombustiveis (ANP), the Brazilian Petroleum Directorate, has approved its acquisition of 20% interest in the Sardinha field in Brazil's Bahia state.

Ipiranga plans to issue US$100mn in five-year senior unsecured step-up notes to pay off short-term bank loans, according to credit rating agency Moody's Investors Service.
