Dana Petroleum plc on Tuesday signed conditional agreements for shares in the Norwegian independent oil company Ener Petroleum ASA that, upon completion, will lead to Ener becoming a controlled subsidiary of Dana.

Faroe Petroleum has been awarded a further Norwegian license, under the Norwegian APA Round, as announced by the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy Thursday.

Ener Petroleum ASA on Tuesday submitted an application to Oslo Axess to trade on the new system, the company reported.

Ener Petroleum ASA has acquired a 25% working interest in production license number 337 (PL 337) on the Norwegian Continental Shelf from BG Norge ASA for an undisclosed amount.

In response to the announcement made earlier Wednesday by Ener Petroleum ASA, Dana Petroleum plc confirmed its intention to make a conditional offer for 100% of the share capital of Ener at a share price of NOK 375 per share paid in cash.

Ener Petroleum has completed the acquisition of the 50% holding in PL 027B including a 45% holding in the Jotun field from Enterprise Oil Norge AS, a subsidiary of A/S Norske Shell.

Ener Petroleum has acquired a 50% holding in PL027B, including a 455 stake in the Jotun Field, from Shell for an undisclosed sum.
