Offshore services company Claxton revealed Friday that it has opened a new office in Stavanger, Norway.

The new office sits alongside Claxton’s sister company InterMoor in Dusavik. Claxton has had a presence in Norway for six years.

“Having listened to the needs of our clients, we are pleased to announce the opening of this new office, which significantly increases our operational presence in Norway,” Vegard Dale, regional business development manager at Claxton, said in a company statement.

“We also have close links with other Acteon companies that have bases nearby that enable us to take a collaborative approach to some projects, where required. At Claxton, we are looking forward to hiring additional personnel locally in Norway, including project engineers,” he added.

Claxton was started in 1985 by Bob Claxton to provide offshore engineering services for upstream clients in the North Sea and other locations around the world.

The business is part of Acteon, which aims to “redefine, shape and lead the subsea services market”, according to its website. Acteon is represented in all the major offshore oil and gas capitals, Acteon’s website states.
