Carbon Clean Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has completed the end-to-end supply chain for its modular CycloneCC technology by signing an agreement with Julius Montz GmbH. Under the agreement, Montz, a Koch Engineering Solutions (KES) company, becomes a supplier of Carbon Clean’s modular carbon dioxide (CO2) capture technology.

Carbon Clean said in a media release that the agreement with Montz and the recently launched columnless C1 series of its modular Cyclone CC technology are significant steps toward the product’s full commercialization.

Under the agreement, Montz will provide the rotating packed beds (RPBs) for Carbon Clean's carbon capture technology. These metal packings, manufactured by Montz, enhance the absorption of CO2 within the RPB system. The centrifugal force generated by the RPBs, combined with Carbon Clean's APBS-CDRMax solvent, significantly improves the overall performance of the carbon capture process, according to Carbon Clean.

Montz will collaborate with Carbon Clean's R&D team to refine the design of CycloneCC and adapt it to evolving market needs. Additionally, Carbon Clean will leverage KES's global capabilities to explore further innovation and commercialization opportunities for the CycloneCC technology.

“Signing this agreement with Montz completes the final piece of the jigsaw for our CycloneCC supply chain. This is an important step towards the product’s full commercialization, accelerating the global deployment of industrial carbon capture. Montz’s proven, specialist expertise, combined with Koch Engineered Solutions’ global footprint, strongly positions Carbon Clean for delivery at scale”, Aniruddha Sharma, Chair and CEO of Carbon Clean, said.

“This is a win-win partnership, not only for KES and Carbon Clean but also for our customers, as it aims to make carbon capture technology affordable, modular, and scalable. This agreement aligns with our philosophy of deploying our advantaged capabilities to high-impact opportunities and breakthrough technologies”, Sairam Potaraju, Managing Director of Julius Montz, said.

Montz will manufacture the RPB packing technology in Hilden, Germany, and distribute it globally through Koch Engineered Solutions' facilities.
