The Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) has scheduled its 16th Round of Bids for exploratory blocks for Oct. 10.

The Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) has scheduled its 16th Round of Bids for Blocks for the Exploration and Production of Oil and Natural Gas for Oct. 10.

There will be 36 blocks offered in seven sectors of five maritime sedimentary basins:

  • Campos
  • Camamu-Almada
  • Jacuípe
  • Pernambuco-Paraíba
  • Santos

This encompasses a total area of 29.3 thousand square kilometers, with one highlight being the CM-541 block in the Campos Basin. The minimum signing bonus is R $1.37 billion (about $356 million USD).

The ANP published today the schedule for the 16th Round

The documents are in consultation until April 9. The public hearing will be held April 10 at the ANP Central Office in Rio de Janeiro.

Today also begins the deadline for payment of the participation fee and for registration in the 16th Round, which closes on August 20.
