Bibby Offshore Secures Multimillion Dollar North Sea Contract

Bibby Offshore, a subsea services provider to the oil and gas industry, announced Tuesday that it has secured a two-phase multimillion dollar contract with a “leading” oil and gas company.

The contract will see Bibby Offshore carry out inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) services across “a number” of the operator’s North Sea assets. Engineering work for the project has already started, with the initial offshore phase due to commence in the second quarter of this year and a further campaign scheduled for Q3.

Bibby Offshore’s diving support vessel, Bibby Topaz, will be the primary vessel used to carry out the base workscope, with the company’s multi-purpose dive support and offshore construction vessel, Bibby Polaris, used to support activities if required.

“Our experienced, skilled team has worked closely on these assets previously, successfully completing IRM activities through a 365 contract,” Howard Woodcock, chief executive of Bibby Offshore, said in a company statement.

“This type of IRM service is at the core of our business and always receives close attention to ensure we deliver a high level of service for our clients,” he added.
