Atkins Secures New Framework Contract with BP Global Wells Organization
Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, revealed that it has been awarded a 5-year framework contract by the BP global wells organization for global riser analysis services.
The framework covers four main scopes of work, comprising marine riser and wellhead systems analysis, analysis for wellhead fatigue monitoring, completion landing string analysis, and open water work-over riser analysis.
“To be named as one of BP global wells organization’s engineering providers for such crucial riser analysis services is testament to the trust we have developed over 50 years working together, as well as the hard work and dedication of our technical experts around the world,” Martin Grant, executive vice president engineering and consulting, oil and gas, SNC-Lavalin, said in a company statement.
“We are looking forward to continuing our excellent working relationship with BP globally bringing together the capabilities from SNC-Lavalin and Atkins,” he added.
This is the first framework awarded to the combined Atkins and SNC-Lavalin business by BP. SNC-Lavalin acquired Atkins on July 3, 2017.
