Accenture Acquires Enaxis Consulting
Global consulting firm Accenture has acquired Enaxis Consulting, a Houston-based management consulting firm that uses digital capabilities to transform organizations in the upstream oil and gas and oilfield services sectors.
Accenture announced the acquisition Dec. 3 but did not disclose pricing details.
“We’re delighted to join forces with this very talented Enaxis team, which will advance our plans for growing our oil and gas business in North America by helping clients with end-to-end transformation services,” John Downie, a senior managing director at Accenture who leads its energy practice in North America, said in a release. “We look forward to building on targeted business services for core oil and gas areas including drilling and completions, production operations and asset portfolio optimization.”
All 75 Enaxis employees, including both of its co-founders are coming to Accenture, Jeff Miers, Accenture’s North America Energy Growth Strategy Lead, confirmed to Rigzone.
“The transaction comes as many oil and gas and airline companies increasingly require digital consulting services, especially in digital capabilities, data science, analytics and agile project delivery,” Miers said in an email to Rigzone. “Enaxis brings deep skills in these areas, as well as in digital strategy, with emerging capabilities in robotics and the Internet of Things technologies, which add to Accenture’s services in these areas. The linkage of Enaxis’ digital consulting services with the strength of Accenture’s delivery capabilities will enable our combined organizations to accelerate digital transformation for our clients.”
