2.0 GENERAL STRUCTURES AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
2.1 Chemical Additive System Skid Mounted mainly consists of a motor system, pneumatic system, liquid storage tank(s), liquid additive pump(s), skid frame, etc.
2.2 Chemical Additive System Skid Mounted is designed to perform proportional adding of liquid additives in offshore or onshore cementing operations.
2.3 Chemical Additive System Skid Mounted power is supplied from an outside source.
2.4 A motor drives the couplet to supply power for the power to the chemical pump.
2.5 Chemical Additive System Skid Mounted overall dimensions (L x W x H) are 7400 x 1250 x 3500 mm.
2.6 The Chemical Additive System Skid Mounted weight: Approximately 10,000Kg (When the liquid additive tank is empty).
3.0 MOTOR SYSTEM
3.1 Motor for chemical pumps
3.2 Motor type: frequency conversion anti-explosion motor
3.3 Quantity: 6
3.4 Power Requirements: 3Kw 380 or 440 volts/ 60Hz
4.0 MANIFOLD SYSTEM
Each additive pump matches one liquid storage tank to form a module. Additionally, each additive pump is designed to have two suction ports and two discharge ports. All are controlled by a pneumatic ball valve, among which one suction port connects to the low point of the liquid storage tank. Another suction port is for external connection; one discharging port connects to the high point of the liquid storage tank, another discharging port is for external connection.
One 1” flow meter is equipped on each chemical pump discharge port and check valves are installed on the discharge manifold.
5.0 ADDITIVE PUMP SYSTEM
The liquid additive pumps, number 1 through 6, correspond to the liquid storage tanks, number 1 thru 6; model and parameters are listed below:
Chemical Pump Model RPM Max Flow Rate (GPM)
Waukesha 018 0-600 1-16
Liquid additive manifolds consist of a flow meter and check valve.
6.0 LIQUID STORAGE SYSTEM
The system is equipped with six (6) liquid storage tanks and the available capacity is listed below.
Tanks 1 – 6: 1,000 Gallons each
Number 1 – 6 liquid additive gear pumps correspond to the number 1 – 6 liquid storage tanks. The liquid storage tanks are incorporated into the skid frame for convenient assembly and disassembly.
Each tank has the following design characteristics;
• Made by 316 stainless steel (suitable for corrosive liquids)
• The tank bottom has a sloping design with a discharge port at the bottom to allow for the thorough removal of residual fluids.
• The top is equipped with a hinged manway lid.
7.0 PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
The pneumatic system is comprised of an air tank, relief valve, air dryer, regeneration air tank, pressure relief filter, pneumatic controlling valve actuator and pipelines.
8.0 ELECTRICAL CONTROL SYSTEM
The electrical control system includes a frequency conversion motor and related control fittings. This system is used to control the motor start up, shut down and operation of the chemical pumps. Lights are available for 24 hour operation. All cabling is weatherproof and grounding is providing on the skid. Each motor is equipped with a transducer to facilitate control of the chemical pumps.
9.0 SKID FRAME
The skid frame is made of A572 GR50 square pipe. The skid is designed with a drip pan to contain fluid from the tank or manifold. The skid is designed and constructed according to ASME and AWS standards and fitted with integral lifting pad fabricated into the design.
10.0 PAINT TREATMENT
Standard paint treatment requires for the material to be sandblasted, primed with a zinc based primer, a secondary coating and a polyurethane finished coat.
