Equipment Description

The Conductor Tensioning Unit (CTU) maintains tension in the conductor system, preventing buckling under compressive loads from the BOP or its own weight. It allows controlled lateral deflection due to wave action without excessive stress, enabling the use of a smaller-diameter conductor while also minimizing vortex-induced vibration.
