Equipment Description

The Advanced Riser Tension Protector (ARTP) system is designed for use during subsea well completions, well testing, 
well interventions and other “locked-to-bottom” operations from floating rigs. It provides the base 
functionality of traditional coiled tubing lift frames (a.k.a surface tension frames), while also incorporating 
back-up safety systems to mitigate risks associated with accidental rig compensator lock-up. The ARTP over / 
under tension is pre-set for back-up compensation at installation and should need no further adjustment. The ARTP consists of the following primary components, ARTP C-series Module (incorporates upper/lower ears, cylinder, accumulators, APVs, Techlok 
connection systems, tubing, valves and fittings, wireless pressure monitoring, air pressure recharging 
system), tooling and spares and air charging facility for pre-charging ARTP cylinders and for pressure adjustment during operations.
