Company Overview: WMD SQUARED

Our passion is design. Our skill is in producing manufacturing packages. We store our ISO 9000 grade documentation only a few keyboard strokes away from our customers. Our desire is to give our customers the same service as in-house engineers, and give them access to our full team at a fraction of the cost of housing a full team. WMD² began in early 2000 when Willem Mast in Lafayette, Louisiana began doing full manufacturing drawing packages for customer’s products. These same customers sold their products to Halliburton, so in 2006, with Halliburton as its first customer Willem Mast Drafting and Design LLC was created. Fast forward to 2014, and WMD Squared LLC now has over 10 full time employees, and also supports the local university by keeping a steady flow of part time Mechanical Engineering interns on staff. The customers range from Halliburton, General Electric, to small local manufacturing firms that make use of our diverse skill set as well as our Cloud Based Engineering System. Our teams skills range from designing hydraulic equipment, rotating equipment, drill pipe and casing handling equipment, down hole tools, to structural and marine equipment. We also dabble in consumer products and industrial design. We produce 3-D and 2-D drawings mainly in Solidworks or AutoCAD Inventor. Our company also has a strong background in EPDM/PLM solutions and provide services to connect your engineering group to your purchasing group using your in-house EPDM. We want to supplement or be your on call engineering department.
