Keppel FELS history reaches back over 30 years, starting out in 1967 as a small shipyard building barges and tugs. A pioneer in rigbuilding in Singapore, we have become a world-class shipyard for the Offshore and Rigbuilding industry, a growing independent power producer and a preferred developer of plants in the region.

Following the merger with sister company Keppel Integrated Engineering Ltd in May 1999, and the acquisition of Singapore Petroleum Company in Feb 2000, the enlarged Keppel FELS Group has core businesses in three industries:- Offshore Oil & Gas, Energy and Infrastructure.

Ship & Rig Construction:
Keppel FELS Limited (KFELS) is the world leader in the rigbuilding industry, having built every harsh environment jack-up rig delivered since 1986.

As a specialist shipyard for the offshore industry, we also design and build offshore drilling and production units like semi-submersibles and floating production storage and offloading systems for the development of marginal oilfields.

We have also built specialised ships such as cable-laying ships for Telecommunications giant, AT&T. To date, we have completed more than 200 vessels and offshore structures of various designs for international clients.
