Company Overview: Monsted Chartering - Scan-Trans Shipping

The company was founded in 1975, by Peter Monsted, active in shipping since 1965 with various shipping-companies in Denmark and abroad, incl. job as Shipowning-manager of local shipowners having some 16 modern vessels. We have been covering all spheres of shipping during the past years, such as general World-Wide Chartering of anysize and type of vessel ranging from 600 to 75.000 ts, on excl. basis resp. as competitive brokers. This included also the excl. management of a substancial number of drycargo-vessels, RORO's and tankers.

For several years the company has been general Scandinavian Agents for various major liner-services to Middle-East, with a turnover of more than 75.000 freighttons per month. Also we have been acting as exclusive brokers on behalf of a great number of major traders and merchants World-Wide, mainly engaged in steel, agriprods, seeds, chems, ferts as well as defence-equipment etc as per below.

Furthermore the company is specialising in the transport of awkward cargo, heavylift, project-biz., with very close relations to a good number of Owners operating within this field. Likewise last few years have concentrated heavily on RORO-trade, enjoying excellent and close relations to a great deal of major Owners/Operators and Charterers.
