Internationally under the IECEx Scheme, UL is a Certification Body (ExCB) and Testing Labporatory (ExTL) -- issuing and accepting Assessment and Test Reports (ExTRs) used for national certifications in 30 countries.

If your market is North America, UL is a U.S. Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) through accreditation by OSHA. Also, UL is a Canadian Certification Body (CB) through accreditation by the SCC.

In Europe, UL is accredited as a Notified Body (NB) under the ATEX Directive (94/9/EC) -- involving the CE and Epsilon-x marks.

Further, in Latin America, UL is accredited by INMETRO as a Brazilain Certification Organization.

For Japan, UL is a Designated Foreign Testing Body accredited by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
