Tracer Petroleum Corporation ("Tracer" or the "Company") is an oil and gas exploration and production company with its corporate headquarters in Calgary, Alberta. The Company's shares are quoted on the OTC-Bulletin Board in the US under the symbol TCXXF.
Historically, Tracer has been active in petroleum exploration and development in Indonesia. However, at the present time the Company is refocusing its efforts to areas outside of Indonesia through the sale of its Indonesian holdings. Tracer continues to hold a 100% interest in the North Tanjung Block PSC with a view to sale or relinquishment of the asset.
The Company has been pursuing a number of significant development opportunities in the Islamic Republic of Iran through its unique relationship with the Mullins Group of London, England. A subsidiary, Tracer Petroleum International, was jointly formed with the Mullins Group in order to facilitate the identification of and negotiation for interests in major petroleum ventures in Iran. In 1999, the Company received acceptance in principal by the National Iranian Oil Company ("NIOC") of the financial and technical capability of Tracer to undertake a significant petroleum project in Iran and has met with representatives of the NIOC in regards to the undertaking of some specific projects.
