Seitel markets the second largest seismic data base publicly available in North America - covering more than one million miles of two- and three-dimensional data - and conducts advanced 3D seismic surveys for multi-clients. We are very proud of the fact that Seitel is one of the most profitable and productive energy companies in the world.
Our Company also selectively exchanges its seismic technology for working equity interest in exploration and development programs with over 100 petroleum-industry partners and our wholly owned subsidiary, DDD Energy, Inc. In these partnerships, we usually own at least 25% of the oil and gas reserves discovered using our seismic technology, and we derive revenue from production of the hydrocarbons.
