The department is the only institution in Hungary where Petroleum Engineers are trained. During the 50-year history of the department more than 700 MS degrees were awarded. The department offers two MS and one PhD program where the language of tuition is English. The Well Control Training School, maintained by the department, is accredited by IADC, IWCF, and issues certificates in well control, surface operations.
