Company Overview: OpendTect OpenSource seismic interpretation system
OpendTect is a seismic interpretation software system in an OpenSource environment. It enables you to process, visualize and interpret multi-volume seismic data using attributes and modern visualization techniques such as stereo viewing and volume rendering. For more advanced work commercial and free plugins are available.
OpendTect is also a research and development environment for seismic interpretation, because of its OpenSource structure. OpendTect users can develop their own interpretation tools as plugins to the system.
OpendTect is developed and maintained by dGB. OpendTect base main features: Visualization and analysis of 2D and 3D data in a single survey, Horizon tracker, On-the-fly calculation and visualization of various attributes and filters (including Spectral Decomposition), Multi-platform distributed computing, Plugin architecture. Commercial plug-ins include: Dip-steering, Neural networks, SSIS (Sequence Stratigraphic Interpretation System), Spectral Blueing etc.
