Cordoaria Oliveira Sa the Porto based Portuguese Ropemaking Group was established in 1825. It is the largest Steel Wire Rope maker in Portugal, manufacturing ropes for all applications, and in particular for Non Rotating Steel Wire Ropes for all types of Cranes, and other Specialist Offshore applications.
The Synthetic Fibre Rope Division of the company manufactures large diameter ropes in Three Strand, Eight Strand, Double Braid and Circular Braid constructions, and in all types of materials, for the Marine and Oilfield Industries, and in particular for the mooring of Oil Tankers to SPM Buoys and FPSO's, and Deepwater Moorings.
