Maverick Tube Corporation is a North American producer of welded tubular steel products used in energy and industrial applications. The Company produces oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and line pipe products for use in newly drilled oil and gas wells and for transporting oil and natural gas. It primarily sells these products to distributors in the United States and Canada. As of January 1, 2003, the Company reclassified its business into two new segments: Energy Products and Industrial Products. Energy products consist of OCTG, line pipe and coiled pipe products. Industrial products consist of structural tubing, standard pipe, pipe piling and steel electrical conduit products. Maverick's operating subsidiaries include Prudential Steel Ltd., Precision Tube Holding Corporation, the tubular division of the former LTV Corporation (Republic Conduit) and SeaCAT Corporation.
