Daniel Cook, President of DCE Software Solutions, has over 25 years combined experience in plant maintenance and computer software development. His experience includes the use of several of the top CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) programs in a manufacturing environment. One of these CMMS programs cost over $1,000,000. Mr. Cook found most of these programs lacking in features and functionality. Most are difficult to learn and maintain. Many require the user to purchase a seperate module for each function. These experiences led to the development of MaintSmart beginning in 1997. Four years later MainSmart is the most powerful and useful stand-alone/file server CMMS program on the market today. MaintSmart IS the new standard in CMMS applications.
Currently in development is a client/server version of MaintSmart. Upon completion this new version of MaintSmart will have all of the powerful features of version 1.4 however the backend database will be available in either SQL Server. An up-sizing tool will enable current users of version 1.4 to import all of their data into the new system.
