The Geospatial Information & Technogy Association is a nonprofit educational
association focused on the application of geospatial information technologies
in infrastructure-based organizations. The technologies GITA promotes include
geographic information systems (GIS), automated mapping/facilities management
(AM/FM), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), mobile/pen computing, and more. GITA is a guiding force behind the geospatial information technology industry's extraordinary growth, providing means for professionals to discuss processes, problems, and solutions for accessing and managing geospatial information.
