ENSCO International Incorporated ("ENSCO") is a Premier Global Offshore Oil and Gas Drilling Contractor, a service which is essential to oil companies in their worldwide exploration and development efforts. The Company's fleet of 50 rigs (including four rigs under construction) is strategically located in the most prolific domestic and international oil and gas markets and is managed through three major business units including: North & South America, Europe & Africa, and Asia & Pacific Rim. ENSCO owns and operates one of the world's largest and most capable fleets of premium jackup rigs. The jackup fleet consists of 44 rigs. ENSCO has added ten ultra-high specification jackup rigs to its fleet since 1999 - five through the acquisition of Chiles Offshore in 2002 and four newly constructed rigs. ENSCO began a fleet enhancement program in the mid-1990s which was substatially completed in the second quarter of 2006. The Company invested over $1.3 billion in upgrading the capability and extending the service life of its existing jackup fleet. This renewal program strengthened ENSCO's position at the higher-end of the premium jackup market. In early 2001, ENSCO completed construction of our first deepwater semisubmersible rig, ENSCO 7500. With its attractive construction cost of approximately $200 million, the rig has proven to be a cost-effective solution to deepwater drilling. Since September 2005, the Company has committed over $1.5 billion for the construction of four additional ultra-deepwater semis, the ENSCO 8500 Series(R) rigs. The rigs are scheduled for delivery by mid-year 2008, early 2009, late 2009, and in late 2010.
