Atlantic Petroleum Training College (APTC) provides realistic oilrig floorhand (roughneck) training programs that are endorsed and recommended by Oilrig Drilling Contractors throughout Western Canada. Not content to simply provide a classroom based curriculum, APTC embraces the need to thoroughly prepare prospective employees in the Oil and Gas industry with the real world skills needed to excel in the Oil and Gas industry. APTC has set up two fully functional oilrigs within its premises to provide high-quality oilrig training. Here students engage in training that echoes the actual experience they will encounter in the field and gain invaluable hands-on experience in rig maintenance, rig-up procedures and proper tools usage. Students are trained to safely perform their tasks in a confident and competent manner on land-based drilling and workover service rigs. APTC is an Accredited Post-Secondary Training College registered with the Nova Scotia Department of Education in Canada.
