Air Tech Environmental Systems was started in December 1981 as an "air filtration" and "HVAC" equipment supplier to the end user or building owner. In 1985, a customer in the Houston area was having problems getting filter service and maintenance inspections done in a timely fashion and asked if we could help? As a result, Air Tech began performing filter service and HVAC equipment inspections.
In addition to performing HVAC service, Air Tech Environmental Systems is one of the leading Indoor Air Quality service companies in the state of Texas. We are one of the few companies in Texas who hold a Class A Environmental Air Conditioning license and the Texas Department of Health?s Mold Remediation and Assessment licenses. The Indoor air Quality Department employs Certified Indoor Air Quality Professionals who perform HVAC cleaning and Mold Remediation services.
Air Tech has completed projects in Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Africa and Gulf Coast States. Air Tech has completed some technically challenging and prestigious projects including NASA?s Moon Rock Lab at the Johnson Space Center and the Jefferson County Theatre. The Jefferson County Theatre was one of the first air-conditioned buildings in the State of Texas. Air Tech recently restored the building?s HVAC system and the original 1927 centrifugal chiller is displayed in the Carrier Museum.
In February 2001, ServiceMaster purchased Air Tech Environmental Systems. During the same year, Air Tech Environmental Systems took over the commercial plumbing operations of Rolfing Plumbing and changed the company name to "Air Tech Commercial Services".
Our partnering approach to the marketplace assures that we serve customers by assisting them with the long-term management of the HVAC, Indoor Air Quality, Refrigeration, Plumbing and Electrical systems in their facilities.
