Distribution:
As part of the drive to address clients' increasing supply chain costs, ASCo UK has pioneered a new distribution concept for the oil and gas logistics industry. The concept is founded on providing a fixed price delivery service from "factory door to rig floor" including the relatively costly marine element of the distribution chain: Delivered Cost Distribution, DCD.
Support Services:
ASCO's Distribution product is supported by Support Services and we also have independent Base Services clients. In 1998, UK base activity increased substantially with ASCo UK handling the most tonnage ever in the company's history with an impressive 1 million tonnes. This was largely as a result of the increased level of business and the development of more supply bases UK-wide. Customers of these services include Marathon, Enterprise and consortium, Team Marine which consists of Amerada Hess, Elf and Texaco. From strategic base locations worldwide, ASCO plc companies offer excellent infrastructure providing services such as quayside handling, engineering, transport, storage and plant and equipment.
Integrated Materials Management:
ASCO is an innovator in supply chain management, an integrated supply distributor who manages the entire supply chain, own the inventory and manage the stores department within the end users plant. Integrated Materials Management (IMM) is an innovative new product that effectively extends the traditional supply chain to encompass cataloguing, stock management and procurement at one end and through to waste management at the other end. IMM completes the customer's supply chain.
