A Rig Mover is part of a drilling contractor's Marine department and is responsible for coordinating all activities involved with relocating an offshore drilling rig. The Rig Mover ensures that the operation is carried out efficiently and safely in accordance with company, regulatory and Class Society specifications. A Rig Mover is typically expected to be on board the rig while underway and to remain on board until the vessel is either jacked up or moored on location.
