A certification engineer is an individual working in a QA/QC position responsible for making sure that all equipment is in proper working condition and up to date on any applicable regulatory conditions and codes. This individual may also be responsible for internal and external audits of work sites and equipment. Certification engineers usually have an engineering degree with a strong QA/QC or maintenance background.
