The Operations Assistant is responsible for all duties associated with gathering, tabulating and performing data entry of the Company's oil and gas daily operations. This includes daily production and pressure information, drilling, completion and remedial well work reports and any additional required information for all activities in the assigned region.
•Collects all well-bore schematics, history, procedures and other pertinent data for archival purposes (electronic and paper)
•Prepares agenda for weekly meeting
•Processes, codes and copies invoices related to the payment of suppliers
•Maintains records and files for construction, meters, well, and workovers.
•May build maps and calculate lot line footages using Corel Draw and Google Earth.
•Tracks and graphs daily production trends for oil and gas and files same electronically (dispatch specific)
•Responsible for all aspects of oil hauling to satisfy oil hauling requirements (dispatch specific)
•Provides updates on oil hauling conditions to allow for a more accurate forecast inventory and production numbers (dispatch specific)
•Reviews monthly reports for missing information and works with engineers and field personnel to ensure data accuracy for electronic loading
•Locates, retrieves, exchange, and codes well, field and log data
•May assist in training of Production staff on use of required software, such as Merrick.
•Other related duties as requested
•Provides initial well set up information to necessary departments
•Assists with tracking and record keeping of drilling fluids/solids and approved disposal facilities.
•May be responsible for county application, permit fees, and coordinating with county assessor as necessary.
Ability to apply analytical & mathematical skills
Good communication skills
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Lotus Notes and Power Point
Knowledge of specific software systems, terminology and procedures.
Invoicing, Coding, Siteview and Wellview
High school diploma required / college degree preferred
Two to four years of oil & gas experience required
Two or more years work experience required
Or College degree with one year oil & gas experience
