Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an integrated, long term West Coast Region schedule of turnarounds. Work with HR andother departments to identify and secure resources (people, equipment, etc.) necessary to execute the turnarounds.
  • Perform Turnaround Readiness Reviews, develop improvement recommendations and assist in the implementation of those recommendations to ensure the Turnaround Execution Team is properly prepared for the upcoming event.
  • Review KPis across regional turnarounds and reallocate resources as needed to assist in meeting desired metric targets.
  • Identify and raise any major client issues
  • Influence Turnaround Project Managers and Superintendents without direct line management
  • May be assigned as the Turnaround Event Manager to lead a specific major turnaround


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience working for either a contractor, owner, or engineering firm in executing I managing refinery turnarounds and capital projects associated with turnarounds
  • Experience in the refining and petrochemical industry.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical understanding of refinery turnarounds and capital prokects
  • High level of knowledge regarding Turnaround Planning and Scheduling
  • Project management skill and understanding
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to motivate and manage teams of people .
  • A TWIC card or ability to obtain one.


• Bachelor's Degree in related engineering or construction field.
• Certification as a Project Management Professional
• Professional Engineering Registration in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Prior experience as a safety professional.
• Cost estimating experience or detailed knowledge of typical task durations and overall costs.
• Project scheduling experience with P6 or MS project.
