1.0 SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the reliability and sustainability of the Chemical plant instrument and electrical assets in North America operations platform.
Essential job duties include:
Participate in and provide leadership examples at site HSE activities such as Behavior Based Observation, Monthly HSE meeting, HSE training, Pre-startup Safety Reviews, Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis.
Responsible for failure analysis and corrective actions, condition based monitoring programs, PM and PdM programs, establishing quality repair methods with plant craftsmen, establishing equipment standards and specifications.
Identify and implement opportunities for improved reliability and for cost reduction.
Suggest capital projects to improve the reliability and cost of the plant.
Provide project management for capital projects of suitable scope, especially those related to plant reliability.
Manage projects to meet expectations regarding costs, schedule, and accomplishment of the project's scope of work.
Manage contractors and consultants as needed to supplement the plant's capabilities in the maintenance and construction area.
Responsible for PLC/DCS system installation and maintenance for all facilities in NA
Responsible for reliability and standards for electrical assets for all plants in NA
Interface with IT as necessary to improve reliability of control systems and operating data transfer for all plants in NA
Responsible for improved reliability and standards for instrumentation and control for all plants in NA
2.0 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree of science in Instrument, Electrical or Mechanical engineering; or a technology degree with suitable experience.
Five years of industry experience.
Knowledge of PLC's, industry standard instrumentation, standard motor control center and distribution.
Knowledge and experience with maintenance modules in ERP systems.
Project management training (PMP certification) is desired

Knowledge with core competencies working with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Oracle accounting system.
Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in written forms and competence with MS Word, MS Project and MS Excel.
Proven understanding of business management principles and financial results

The employee may be required to travel up to 25% of the time and work remote for up to 2 weeks.
