The System Engineering position is needed so that the IT Infrastructure can function at a high
level of reliability. This position assist in maintaining the infrastructure for corporate environment.
Works under the leadership of the System Engineering Group's (SEG) Lead/Supervisor to ensure that
hardware and/or software are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the
organization. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the IT related concepts, practices, and
procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a
variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
This positions requires 7 years of experience at a minimum as a System Engineer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
With limited direction from the System Engineering Group (SEG) Supervisor/Lead, responsible for the
following task (but not limited to):
Manage/maintain servers, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless and other possible needs for the
corporate office and other locations.
Maintain/enhance WinTel server environment to achieve uptime goals of 99.95%.
Manage/maintain all Tetra telecommunication including MPLS, SDWAN, Internet, Routing & Switching,
Layer 3 and Layer 2, PRIs, POTs lines etc.
Perform a wide variety of complex technical duties involved in the procurement process,
installation, repair, and maintenance of Cisco switches, routers and firewalls to maintain uptime
of the various TETRA facilities.
Maintain/enhance Cisco switches to achieve uptime goals of 99.95%.
Maintain backups of the various switches that support all networks at the facilities. Interact with
TETRA personnel to recommend and install cost effective solutions. Consult with end users and
consultants to identify computer and networking issues Apply systems analysis tools and techniques
to resolve identified issues
Document all trouble tickets
Communicate with end users on the status of tickets, in a timely manner
Determine when it is necessary to consult with others, including SEG team members, Business
Analysts and outside subject matter expert (SME) to resolve issues or enhance processes.
Work with facility personnel to maintain acceptable environmental conditions for the servers and

Excellent Cisco network skills - 5 years
Excellent Voice/VOIP/Cisco UCS experience - 3 years Windows Server and Active Directory
administration - 3 years VMware/vSphere/ESXi/VSAN - 3 years
SAN Experience (preferred EMC) - 3 years
Citrix XenApp experience a plus
Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) a plus Microsoft System Center Configuration
Manager (SCCM) - a plus Excellent troubleshooting skills
Ability to travel 20% of the time at any given time on short notice.
