Global Engineering Change Coordinator      : Direct Hire

Dovre is providing our client who is the world leader and supplier of container & load handling equipment and services, is seeking an experienced 

Global Engineering Change Coordinator

Job Function:

Based in Ottawa, Kansas USA, the Global Engineering Change Coordinator is responsible for the registration, coordination, tracking and implementation of change between the Terminal Tractor Product Line, Sourcing and Multi-Assembly Units globally. These product changes include localization, vendor changes, new product implementation and design changes. EO management and effective date communication globally will be a primary role for this position.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

Manage Engineering Change Request registration, investigation, acceptance, and implementation for Terminal Tractors Globally. Obtain the appropriate approvals from Principal Systems Engineer.

Will decide critical path for communicating change, disposition of materials or purchasing requirements which could impact working capital and assure on time customer delivery.

Plan and facilitate engineering change implementation and follow up meetings for each MAU

Work with Engineering and MAU planning manager to ensure BOM's are updated and working properly with each part number change

Provide effective liaison/communication to the MAU's (as needed) and management regarding Engineering change activity

Success in this position requires constant and receptive follow up.

Coordinate the purchase of samples as necessary to support the Engineering change approval process


Associate or Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Extensive Product knowledge of terminal tractors or mobile equipment and knowledge of assembly, purchasing and shipping processes preferred.


2-3 years' experience in mobile vehicle manufacturing or design or Global supply chain

Experience facilitating cross functional (departmental) team meetings.

Process management experience

Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes in general and some experience with the processes of an assembly plant


Extensive computer experience with Microsoft Office and above average data entry skills

Understanding or working knowledge of Material Management System

Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Must be self-motivated, posses excellent organizational and analytical skills

Results Driven

Solid interpersonal, communications and listening skills

Broad knowledge of engineering applications

Strong electrical and/or mechanical aptitude.

Good time management skills plus organization and prioritization abilities

Ability to interpret CAD drawings and technical documents
