Oil Market Pricing team provides transparent market price assessments to Shell Downstream business covering Manufacturing, Trading and Supply Products and Marketing businesses. This is the basis for integrated decisions to ensure the competitiveness of Downstream Supply Chain. The team analyses the full Downstream value chain to make this happen.

The Oil Market Pricing Analyst East will work as part of the East Oil Market Pricing team responsible for:

  • Market price assessments for transactions between the Downstream business units: Manufacturing, Trading & Supply Products, Retail, B2B and Chemicals.
  • Implementation and delivery of Oil Market Pricing steers in a consistent, robust, efficient and fiscally robust manner.
  • Clear communication of market price assessments to engage with regional and local stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.
  • Supporting application of the Oil & Chemical Steering Values for Downstream investments and Manufacturing business planning etc.

The Oil Market Pricing analyst will need to posses strong communication and engagement skills working across a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver business results. The incumbent will need to understand how both regional and local oil and product markets work and the market insights of price assessments is key cornerstones for the P&L steer of individual businesses in Downstream. The incumbent should possess:
