The Groundwater Program coordinator will work closely with, and coordinate the views of, a multi-disciplinary team including hydrogeologists, geoscientists, environmental scientists, reservoir & well engineers, legal, commercial, external affairs and sustainability and asset management.
You will be accountable for project management and delivery of bore assessments and decommissioning activities of boreholes including financial reporting, invoice management, cost tracking, data checking and validation.
You need to be able to execute the groundwater monitoring program and network including cost, schedule, financial reporting and invoice management, as this is a strategic role you will be responsible for coordinating technical advice to develop policy and strategy associated with groundwater management.
You will be responsible for coordinating business strategy on groundwater in consultation with internal technical specialists and you will instruct and lead assigned external contractors.
You are responsible for the efficient use of their personal time to ensure all tasks are achieved within allocated project plan milestones, or time lines given.

A tertiary qualifications in commercial, project management, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering or environmental planning is essential. Experience in accounting and cost management (including SAP & Unifier). To strive and deliver excellence in this role you must have a detailed understanding of relevant legislation, policies and guidelines including environment and safety. Any previous experience in the petroleum industry, especially in Queensland would be advantageous.
You should have a proven project management and financial management experience and able to grasp complex matters and adapt quickly to a changing environment.
The incumbent will be required to travel to other Queensland based sites and regional centres. Occasional out of hours/weekend contact required when drilling or monitoring operations underway.
