The Factory Optimisation Engineer will have direct accountability for the introduction, development and implementation of production control principles and practices into the ways of working in QGC.

Responsibilities include upfront scoping work, detailed implementation plan creation and ultimately driving a huge improvement in the standardization, synchronisation and transparency of the key delivery processes across the business.

Develop and implement a sound factory approach to the business based on factory physics, standardized delivery processes and disciplined delivery. Drive waste out of the business through the use of Production Control principles rather than reliance on the existing large element of buffering and conventional retrospective Project controls.

  It is a challenge that calls for excellent communication, interpersonal,  negotiation and stakeholder-management skills. You must uphold QGC’s strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

You will be the single point of expertise in the business on production control and will support the Wells Performance & Reporting Team Lead to deliver a significant improvement in the business.

You will have extensive experience  in factory optimization and manufacturing production control principles or managing production operations in a medium to large manufacturer such as truck building,  heavy equipment or fabrication/ machine shop.  You should poses qualifications in Industrial Engineering or Process Engineering.  Qualifications in Competitive Systems and Practices will also be beneficial.

Must have proven competencies in influencing and delivering significant change programmes.
Quality control experience also provides the necessary skills in preparing the right information particularly leading measures and a range of problem solving skills.
