Mackenzie Stuart Executive Search & Selection is working in close partnership with an international Oil & Gas Manufacturing company. The organisation is a leading organisation in the field with a global presence.
Due to succession planning, the organisation is seeking to recruit a Global Human Resources Manager - based in Houston - to manage the global HR function. This is a key position leading the strategy and HR policy operations and to be successful candidates must meet the exacting requirements.
To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:
*Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. Currently located in Houston or willing to relocate.
*Educated with a University Degree discipline and hold a HR registered professional membership
*Minimum of 10 years' experience specifically within the Human Resources function within the Oil & Gas industry
*Experience writing HR policy and procedures to be implemented across a business unit
*Experience leading a HR function for a business unit with either US or international responsibilities
*Experience in creating and implementing HR policy and procedures across a business unit
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
*Manage the global HR function for the business responsible for all areas of the function
*Provide support and expertise to the international HR teams on policy and procedural operations
*Develop and implement new HR best practices and standard for the organisation
*Lead policy writing and quality control of the HR function both in the US and internationally
*Work with the Executive board as the HR representative for the company on all strategy and organisational development matters
*Reporting into Chief Operating Offer.
This is a key position within the organisation as the head of HR for a globally recognised Oil & Gas organisation.

We have a team of 8 consultants and 2 researchers that each focus on specialist sub sectors of Oil & Gas where they have built up an understanding of the structure of the sub sector alongside a broad network of contacts. We have a track record of placing individuals in a multitude of disciplines including sales, business development, commercial, operations, engineering, geosciences through to senior level management.
We focus on gaining a detailed understanding of our clients needs in terms of background, experience and cultural fit of candidates, so that we can identify a small number of candidates that closely match your requirements. We have a proactive approach towards sourcing candidates that involves confidentially utilising our network of contacts, headhunting, and advertising (on generic & industry specific job boards) with minimal use of reactive methods such as job board / database searches. We find our approach identifies candidates who have positive motivations behind a career move resulting in long term careers with the employers we place them with. The consultant responsible for the assignment will provide constant consultative advice and feedback throughout the process from initial stages of taking on details of the role through to post placement feedback. This involves updates on sourcing candidates, short listing, arranging interviews with post interview feedback, advice on remuneration and managing the offer / acceptance / termination of previous employment and notice period. We find this close management and consultative advice ensures the client can secure the best candidate, whilst avoiding issues such as counter offers.
