Mackenzie Stuart Executive Search & Selection is working in close partnership with a leading top-tier Flow Measurement & Metering equipment manufacturer. The organisation is a major equipment provider into the Oil & Gas industry in the world with a renowned global presence.

Due to succession planning within the product group, the organisation is seeking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager - South East Asia - to manage the technical sales and business development activities in the market. This is new position within organisation and the successful candidate will meet the following requirements.

To be considered for the role you must meeting the following requirements:

*A Malaysian national, or candidate local to Asia Pacific, currently located in Kuala Lumpur or willing to relocate
*Educated with an Engineering or technical degree discipline.
*8+ years industry experience within the Flow Measurement & Metering industry
*5+ years sales and technical sales experience within positive displacement meters, ultrasonic flow meters, custody transfer and systems integration packages
*Technical and product engineering experience within the Measurement product line
*Proven customer base and previous sales experience within the SE Asia region
*Proactive self-starter who can work and be motivated with minimal supervision

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

*Manage the technical sales and business development activities for the Flow Measurement product group within the SE Asia market
*Act as the technical authority for tender and commercial activities for the Measurement product line
*Develop sales and commercial strategies with senior business leaders to pursue growth
*Work directly with key clients to understand customer and market needs to assist the company's product development activities
*Travel to meet with clients and attend exhibitions when required to promote the company's product group
*Reporting into Regional Manager - Asia Pacific.

This is a new and exciting role within the organisation and the successful candidate can expect to progress rapidly within the role and be involved in exciting product and company expansion.

Mackenzie Stuart provide a full Search & Selection service to the Oil & Gas sector where we have a strong track record of placing experienced professionals in the Oil & Gas sector with a broad range of clients. We have a team of 8 consultants and 2 researchers that each focus on specialist sub sectors of Oil & Gas where they have built up an understanding of the structure of the sub sector alongside a broad network of contacts. We have a track record of placing individuals in a multitude of disciplines including sales, business development, commercial, operations, engineering, geosciences through to senior level management.


Our Approach


We focus on gaining a detailed understanding of our clients needs in terms of background, experience and cultural fit of candidates, so that we can identify a small number of candidates that closely match your requirements. We have a proactive approach towards sourcing candidates that involves confidentially utilising our network of contacts, headhunting, and advertising (on generic & industry specific job boards) with minimal use of reactive methods such as job board / database searches. We find our approach identifies candidates who have positive motivations behind a career move resulting in long term careers with the employers we place them with. The consultant responsible for the assignment will provide constant consultative advice and feedback throughout the process from initial stages of taking on details of the role through to post placement feedback. This involves updates on sourcing candidates, short listing, arranging interviews with post interview feedback, advice on remuneration and managing the offer / acceptance / termination of previous employment and notice period. We find this close management and consultative advice ensures the client can secure the best candidate, whilst avoiding issues such as counter offers.
