Role Overview  


Be part of Amec Foster Wheeler T&D business division supporting Scottish Power Energy Network (SPEN) Projects in the South Ayrshire, Scotland. As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, opportunities have arisen for an Environmental Advisors reporting to the Project Manager and Site Managers. The role will be site based forming part of an integrated team.   The Environmental Advisor will cover a wide range of disciplines with responsibilities such as:


  • Site Environmental Management Plan
  • Surface water management plan including planned mitigations
  • Environmental method statements/ briefings/ TBTs
  • Environmental Emergency Response Plan
  • SWMP (Site Waste Management Plan)
  • Coordination and assistance with surveys and studies supporting licence applications
  • Watercourse management assessing pollution prevention, implement mitigation measures and monitoring of water quality
  • Undertake preconstruction surveys and arranging relevant licences or mitigation measures for the works
  • Environmental impact assessment
  • Prepare and deliver TBT
  • Environmental Audits
  • Managing legislative issues maintaining an awareness of how legislation impacts projects


Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge and experience in Construction Industry
  • Must have exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Experience communicating with SEPA and other Governing Bodies
  • Degree or similar qualification in Environmental Industry
