PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Safely perform, manage and field direct all pipeline operating functions and associated budgets including O&M of pipeline facilities, compressor stations, measurement facilities and equipment, pigging, as well as interact with customers, vendors, regulatory field representatives, and the general public. Supervise and manage district pipeline operators, mechanics and meter technicians.
SCOPE AND MAGNITUDE:
Responsible for field operations, facility maintenance, safety and regulatory compliance in an assigned district comprised of pipelines, measurement and regulating facilities, compressor stations and dehydration equipment and associates budgets.
•Insure accurate measurement of gas into and out of assigned pipeline systems.
•Control operating and maintenance costs within assigned area.
•Insure that operating and maintenance activities of assigned facilities are performed safely and in accordance with Company procedures/policies and governmental regulations including DOT, PHMSA, LDNR,OSHA, DEQ, etc.
•Coordinate, supervise, and inspect the construction of facilities in district or region.
•Supervise Operations, Measurement and Compression personnel
•Budget submission, management and administration including explanation of variances and reforecasts
•Interaction with producers, customers, vendors, regulatory agencies, the public.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
•High School diploma or equivalent.
•10 years of experience in pipeline operations and maintenance.
•Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining natural gas pipeline and station facilities.
•Must have people skills, organizational skills and task prioritizing skills appropriate for scheduling, supervising, directing, and managing field and contract personnel.
•Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision, subject to being on call
•Knowledgeable and/or experience with cathodic protection, measurement, and SCADA equipment
•Strong English verbal skills.
•Valid driver's license.
•Moderate physical activity in outdoor environment.
