PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Safely perform and direct all instrumentation and electrical operating functions including O&M of plant and pipeline facilities related to the I&E Department. Supervise and manage I&E Technicians and coordinate all work activities with plant and pipeline supervision.
SCOPE AND MAGNITUDE:
Responsible for I&E activities within the Permian Region. Schedule, supervise, direct, and manage our I&E staff. Insure the integrity and reliability of all electrical, instrumentation, and control systems including installation, troubleshooting, and continued calibration and maintenance within the assigned area.
•Comply with all applicable EnLink EH&S, training policies and compliance requirements including PSM and DOT requirements
•Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance of electrical power systems, instrumentation, and control system equipment, communications, and associated equipment in designated area
•Provide schedule for testing of all electrical and instrumentation equipment
•Document, report, and generate records for all findings regarding I&E activity
•Provide schedule for I&E activities to plant and pipeline supervision and management
•Maintain vehicle, I&E test equipment and supplies per company standards
•Maintain positive relationship with internal and external customers
•Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of I&E problems including PLC equipment
•Research I&E problems and issues and propose corrective actions
•Monitor, control & procure adequate inventory of I&E associated parts (as required)
•Mentor/coach a team of employees on proper I&E procedures and assist I&E techs to resolve associated problems
•Ensure that all required PSM, RMP, OSHA, DOT and Operator qualifications are maintained and followed
Management, Safety, Environmental, Engineering, Operations Foreman, periodic interaction with producers, customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and the public
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
•High School diploma or equivalent
•5 years of comprehensive I&E experience and 5 years of experience within natural gas compression operations REQUIRED.
•Must have experience in operating and maintaining equipment within natural gas facilities.
•Minimum 2 - 5 years supervisory or lead experience, preferably in an operations role; proven leadership skills
•Technical schooling strongly desired
•Prompt response for 24 hours on call duty
•Basic computer skills such as Microsoft office, Outlook, Excel, Word and Access preferred
•Read and follow electrical one-lines and P&ID drawings
•Understand flow schematics
•Must have people skills and task prioritizing skills
•Fluent English verbal skills
•Valid driver's license.
