Sunoco Logistics is currently seeking a dynamic, personable, and professional individual to join the Crude Marketing Services team. This analyst position is part of the Accounting and Finance organization and supports the Crude Oil Acquisition and Marketing segment of the Organization.  This role will also require interfacing with various other internal and external groups.



Primary Responsibilities



The roles and responsibilities of the position may include but are not limited to:



  • Own the accurate, timely and complete input and maintenance of accounting information for lease acquisition deals
  • Provides specialized or general analysis support in various accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, fixed asset accounting and general accounting as it relates to lease acquisition assets and specialized deals
  • Audits and develops various financial statements, records and reports for accurate accounting of lease acquisition assets
  • Provide ad hoc support to the lease acquisition business as requested by management, concerning lease acquisition accounting deal information and contracts
  • Participate in periodic accounting control and process reviews as requested by management
  • Work cross-functionally with Scheduling, Pipeline Accounting, Settlement, Trucking/Ops groups to ensure SXL goals and objectives are being met


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year accredited university in Accounting or Business related degree required
  • Self-starter who can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in advanced MS Suite skills with a priority focus in MS Excel
  • Ability to work overtime during key periods preferred
  • Able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities during high paced environment
  • Highly detailed and deadline oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill


Preferred Skills:



  • General understanding of Crude Trucking, Pipeline, Terminal and On-Shore Lease Acquisition businesses
  • One to two years related experience in accounting
  • Desire to work towards Masters or CPA designation
