Mackenzie Stuart are working in close partnership with a highly regarded international organisation providing Software and related services to the Oil & Gas sector. The organisation has a strong reputation in the upstream Oil & Gas industry with operations across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

The organisation is seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager based in Calgary that will be responsible for sales and business development activities across the Canada region.

To be considered for the role you must meet the following requirements:

*Educated to a Bachelor's degree standard in Geology, Geophysics or similarly related disciplines. A Master's degree would be preferred.
*Must have a minimum of 10 year's sales, business development or account management experience in the Oil & Gas Software industry.
*Will have strong technical knowledge and understanding of geoscience software applications.
*Must have a proven background of success in a regional sales or business development role with proven ability to increase sales revenue with existing and new clients.
*Strong network of connections within the E&P sector including IOC's across the region.
*Possess excellent communication, team working and leadership skills.

Responsibilities of the role include:

*Overall responsibility for sales and business development activities across the Canada region.
*Responsibility for managing existing accounts and building relationships with new clients to increase sales revenue and achieve sales targets and forecasts.
*Understand client requirements and business challenges to ensure that the organisation is well positioned with R&D and product development to meet client's ongoing needs.
*Identify, assess and secure new business opportunities in the market through active networking and market intelligence gathering activities.
*Managing a team of technical sales engineers and technical support employees.
*Reporting to the Regional Director - Canada region.

The consultant responsible for the assignment will provide constant consultative advice and feedback throughout the process from initial stages of taking on details of the role through to post placement feedback. This involves updates on sourcing candidates, short listing, arranging interviews with post interview feedback, advice on remuneration and managing the offer / acceptance / termination of previous employment and notice period. We find this close management and consultative advice ensures the client can secure the best candidate, whilst avoiding issues such as counter offers.
