Overview / Responsibilities

Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a Senior Security Analyst, reporting to the Group Emergency Preparedness Advisor and based in our London office.


Key aims and objectives


A smooth and efficient administrative, security risk analysis and programme project management service in support of Group Security activity, globally

Prime responsibilities and duties


Security Team Support


  • Risk Assessment Activities Assist Group Security leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of a variety of pro-active programmes, processes, tools and products designed to anticipate and minimize AMEC’s exposure to security threats and determine appropriate responses. This will include Security Risk Assessment processes, policies, standards and associated guidance, Information Management System, training and awareness programmes
  • Analytical Activities. Enhance the capability of Group Security by implementing an Information Led Security (ILS) programme to anticipate and characterise security risk by developing a broad range of contacts, relationships and sources of raw and finished intelligence, to benchmarked industry best practices. Independently collect, collate and analyse information from multiple online and other sources. Deliver results to agreed timelines by marketing and delivering analytical products including post incident analysis, strategic threat assessments, travel alerts and other threat advisories. Assist in the production of due diligence/background inquiries relating to proposed transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions and divestments and potential new business partnerships
  • Maintaining an in-depth situational awareness of external political and economic factors that may impact business activities around the globe
  • Continuously monitoring and evaluating company political/security risk positions, and recommending coordinated adjustments as required
  • Contributing to the methodological refinement of political risk analysis, information acquisition and related best practices on behalf of the Group Security function
  • Maintaining and assessing Country Risk Ratings on behalf of Group Security 
  • Producing country profiles, threat intelligence, and regional profiles to support the security function
  • Contributing to/producing bespoke reports on security or intelligence issues for Amec Foster Wheeler
  • Contribute to/produce reports as directed by the Director, Group Security

Allied occasional duties

  • To assist Group Security to retain visibility of all Group Security projects
  • Maintain client interfaces on behalf of the function

  • External security providers to AmecFW as directed
  • Law enforcement and other associated authorities or specialists, under direction

Skills / Qualifications

  • Specialist security research and analytical capabilities 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Must be a self-starter and team player
