Position Summary The Estimator evaluates drawings, obtains pricing and labor estimates, and works closely with multiple departments to prepare internal and external customer quotes. Duties & Responsibilities * Evaluate drawings and statements of work to develop quotes. * Obtain accurate material pricing and labor hours. * Source and coordinate subcontract work for items not completed onsite. * Work with multiple departments, including Purchasing, Accounting, and other Manufacturing personnel. * Compile all job related costs. * Provide weekly reports and status updates to Project Manager. * Initiate and support ongoing communication within departments. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent, plus 1-3 years formal training (vocation or technical school), OR Associate's Degree in related field. * 5 years of estimating experience in a job-shop environment. * Able to understand and interpret drawings and blueprints. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel. * Able to understand geometric dimensions and tolerancing (GD&T;). * Familiar with weld symbols and military specifications. * Background in math, accounting, estimating, and equations. * Ability to obtain security clearance. * Basic knowledge of metallurgy. * Experience working in an ISO environment.
