The Maintenance Superintendent role is accountable for the delivery of Maintenance in the Central area within the Surat Basin. This role is a rotation position working a 15/13 with a back to back, accommodation, meals and travel to site from Brisbane is provided for.

You will ensure the safe, efficient and cost effective maintenance of site infrastructure in this influential role. You’ll champion safety to ensure downtime is minimized and production targets are reached. Integral to this role will be your ability to ensure compliance with appropriate standards and apply industry best practices to enable consistent improvements in operational performance.

You’ll assist in the management of maintenance and resources, reporting, technical analysis, balancing budgets, planning integration and HSSE. You’ll also contribute to the review process, make recommendations to improve production engineering tools and processes, resolve problems and monitor action plans.

Substantial experience in similar role within oil and gas requiring complex problem resolution, budget management, trend identification and OHS leadership is essential. The successful candidate will have formal qualifications, strong communication and time management skills, a commitment to safety and a focus on results.                

It is a challenge that calls for excellent communication, interpersonal, client-service, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills. You must uphold QGC’s strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Substantial experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team, supporting delivery of technical requirements and building and maintaining critical business relationships is essential. You should have had exposure to rural business and communities and, ideally, a background in the oil, gas or mining industries.

We are looking for an assertive and motivated individual with a successful track record working in maintenance operations within heavy industry, preferable oil and gas and CSG.  You should have previous experience working in a similar role.
